A Backyard Landscape Plan with Style

This stunning backyard began with removing an old deck and stairs and creating a screened porch with access to the backyard. A new ledge stone stairs with integrated planted terraces connects to the backyard. In the backyard, a fire pit area is one step lower than the surrounding patio, with a semi-circular seat wall. A trellis is used to frame the ground level entrance to the house. Minimal plantings were needed for this elegant design.

We designed an upper level screen porch to wrap around to the front of the house to the garage level so homeowners can now access their porch from inside and outside the home. Ledge stone steps integrated with planted terraces provide quick access to the backyard. Under the screened porch, a second outdoor space was created at the backyard level.

This screened porch starts just off the driveway, wraps around the back of the house and connects to the kitchen. The wooden porch is combined with composite decking. Under the porch is a covered patio and access to the fire pit.

We designed a wooden trellis over the back door entry to give dimension to the back of the facade. The circular fire pit and seating area was lowered to distinguish it from the other backyard entertaining spaces.
